UNTRIED - BUT THE CATFISH PEOPLE LOVE IT - ALDER CONES
 
Having read about this remedy for fungused eggs on catfish forums I am going to try it with Angelfish and give a report in the next newsletter.
The alder tree produces seed cones that have a natural chemical that they release which inhibits fungus growth.
 
I have read posts where people are plagued with fungused eggs and within days of using the alder cones, they have a 99% survival rate, no fungus.
There are too many positive reports for it not to have some basis.
 
However, be warned, I have never read anything about it working on Angelfish. By the time of the next newsletter I hope to be able to shed some light on it.
